Whats in STOR?

Metasphere believes it has the answer with its recently released STOR (Short Term Operating Reserve) Application, which has been designed to help businesses increase income from generation capacity. The STOR Application integrates with the local electricity providers STOR Dispatch system to allow a business to manage its energy consumption through load management, whilst responding to automated requests for STOR generation from The National Grid; all within twenty minutes of the original request. Once a contract call is received it is processed centrally; the STOR application uses its preset configuration to turn on standby generators until the desired generation target is met. Configurations can be easily amended to turn on additional generators and in any chosen sequence via Remote Telemetry Units (RTUs). The RTUs are used to report back the generator status and generation output to the central processing point, from just one or a network of generation plants over wide areas. The combined data is then fed back to the STOR Dispatch System to provide web-based reports on response time performance, generation by date, capacity and percentage utilisation and generator duty and standby utilisation during STOR. The continuous monitoring of process plant has an additional advantage that it provides on-going status for general maintenance.
