AICTE CMAT 2012 Exam Instructions for invigilators for Briefing the candidates 20 mins before starting time

of the Test
Dear prospective examination candidates and Future Managers: Good Morning and Welcome to CMAT 2012! As a CMAT examination candidate, you must follow these instructions conscientiously. If you breach any of the instructions, you will be dealt with by the AICTE for breach of Discipline. Your CMAT Test will start at 9.30 am / 2.30 pm and duration of the test is: 180 minutes i.e. 3 hours. The test consists of 100 questions, distributed in four sections i.e Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation; Logical Reasoning; General Awareness and Language Comprehension comprising of 25 questions in each section. The test comprises of multiple choice Objective Type questions only. Every question answered correctly would carry 4 marks This test carries negative marking also. For every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted from the total marks secured on account of correct answers. You need to enter your CMAT Roll Number on the login screen under the login box NAME Ten minutes before the test i.e. at 9.20 am /2.20 pm the test paper password will be announced. You will be required to type the password and click on ENTER button. This will take you to welcome screen which will be followed by instructions. You will have to read the instructions from 9.20 am 9.30 am / 2.20 pm to 2.30 pm. At sharp 9.30 am / 2.30 pm, you will have to click the START TEST button to start your test Your testing window will be open for 180 mins from the time of starting the test by pressing the enter button The 'Timer' of the test starts only when Start Test button is clicked. The candidates SHOULD NOT click on the option "Show list of any unfinished assessment" while logging in for the first time. In event of the test being disrupted for any reason, the candidate should immediately inform the invigilator. The invigilator will help the candidate to re-login to the test by checking on "Show list of any unfinished assessment" on login page within the stipulated test time. The questions on the computer screen will appear one at a time. Bulleted number list of all questions will appear at the right side of the screen. Keep a close watch on 'Time Left' while appearing for the test. It is possible to review the answered as well as the un-answered questions. If you wish to unmark an answered question, click the Deselect button. The option gets deselected. Use 'Submit' only when you want to exit/complete the test. The "Submit" button will be enabled ONLY when you view all the questions at least once during the test. The test is automatically stopped if the time allotted for the test is over. No breaks will be allowed during the test You can leave the examination hall only after completion of the test i.e., after three hours is over. You cannot leave the examination hall before three hours even if you have submitted your paper Candidates are not allowed to bring scratch paper into the exam room. Blank paper is provided for scratch work in the exam room. No unauthorized material such as cell phones, calculator, log tables, book, paper, document or picture is allowed inside the examination hall. Bags, waist pouches, ear or headphones are also not permitted to be brought into the examination hall. For security reasons, candidates must leave their bags outside the examination halls. You are advised not to leave any valuables in your bag. No additional time will be given to candidates who are absent for part of the exam, Do not look around at other candidates as there will be surveillance cameras that record both audio and video. Any suspicious or disruptive behavior could lead to your test being invalidated by the AICTE. For any issues during the test, raise your hand to notify the invigilator. A technician is also available here on stand-by at the centre. In case of any major disruptions, rest assured that if you are a registered candidate, you will get to test within the testing window. All scratch paper must be returned to the invigilator after the test. Any attempt to take away the scratch papers out of test centers will be considered as disruptive behavior and liable for disqualification. At the conclusion of the examination, candidates must remain seated and must not communicate with one another while their calculation rough sheets are being collected
