The second crusade 1147-1149

Because of the success of the christians in the First Crusade . The Moslems learned that they had to get united to win something , so in 1144 A.D. they captured Edessa. The Turks who took the City of Edessa turned Edessa into a nightmare by killing and sellinng the people for slavery. The second crusade had an unhappy ending , only a few people escaped from the annihiation in Asia Minor at the hands of Turks.

The Fourth Crusade

1202-1261
The leaders of The Crusade made Egypt the objective point because it was the center of the moslem power. In 1204 the crusaders were knowned as the Invaders because of the took of Constantinople. After the fourth crusade

Constantinople declined in strenght and couldnt ght with the Barbarians , but two centuries later the city fell because of the Turks. After that the Fourth Crusade turned into a political adventure.

The minor crusades is the name given to the fth , sixth , seventh , eight , ninght and the last crusade.

But now we are going to talk only about some of them.

The fth crusade: 1216-1220 Was led by the kings of Hungary and Cyprus , it took place mostly in Egypt and did nothing.

The Seventh crusade

1249-1254

After the took of Jerusalems by the Mamluks in 1244 AD , was anouced the crusade. From Cyprus they attacked Damietta in Egypt.The mamliks arrived and defeated them , the leader was taken as a prisoner. When the French payed to rescue him , he returned to his home and his mom died so he had to be in charge of the kingdom.
