MANUAL SKILL: Measuring Oral Intake

SKILL STEPS: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Pour the leftover liquid into the graduate. Measure the amount at eye level. Keep the container level. Check the amount of the serving on the I & O record Subtract the remaining amount from the full serving amount. Immediately record this amount on the intake side of the I & O worksheet.

ENDING STEPS: 1. 2. 3. Clean and return equipment and supplies. Remove gloves, if wearing. Position resident comfortably.
