GLOSSARY

Filmmaking
 The process of making a film, from an initial story idea or commission through
scriptwriting, shooting, editing and finally distribution to an audience.
Painting
 A direct application of pigment to a surface to produce by tones of color or of light
and dark some representation or decorative arrangement of natural or imagined
forms.
Photography
 The process of forming stable or permanent visible images directly or indirectly
by the action of light or other forms of radiation on sensitive surfaces.
Printmaking
 Art form consisting of the production of images, usually on paper but occasionally
on fabric, parchment, plastic, or other support, by various techniques of
multiplication, under the direct supervision of or by the hand of the artist.
