The Total Compensation OLTP has nearly 400 tables - very difficult to report against. We are building an ODS against which Brio or SAS queries can be run. We are identifying the critical HR reporting and interface requirements. We are building star-join data models to facilitate reporting. ODS separates the reporting load from transaction processing. The Total Comp ODS is structured similarly to the current data warehouse (proven usability).
