CHAPMAN VALLEY CRICKET CLUB

V
KALBARRI
ROUND 8 @ NABAWA 6th December 2008
Chapman Valley 2 for 308 (S Emerson 152, B McCashney 104)
Kalbarri 54 (S Higgins 4 for 17, D Riman 3 for 22, M Houston 2 for 8)

Let’s cut to the chase!

Brock (104) and Shaun (152) were magnificent. An opening partnership of 267 in 40 overs
in any grade; in any competition is amazing! Both fellas batted wonderfully and should be
very proud of themselves! We were privileged to watch the display put on in the middle
and the display of patience from Junior Sorge and Higgo who were both padded and ready
to go from the beginning of the first over! At least Junior got a little bat! Higgo just stood
around all day and then took his bat for a walk in the last over!

Obviously pretty shattered after that batting display the Kalbarri boys then had to have a
bat and were under the pump from the start with both Dave Riman (3 for 22) and Higgo (4
for 17) on song from the start! When they had finished bowling Kupschy (1 for 5) and Tex
(2 for 8) polished things off to have Kalbari all out for 54!

Another very good win to give us 8 on the trot!

……. Still no duck!

Congratulations to the award winners.
