With reference to our submittal for Chillers, AHUs and Fan coil units and consultants review comments, please be informed of the following: 1- Our submittal was strictly in accordance with contract documents where in as per contract mechanical drawing number M-07 for equipment schedules , Chiller capacities , water flow

rates , chiller make and model number are clearly indicated and our submittal was based on
the same data.

Chiller model mentioned in contract is TRANE RTAC-185 and capacity mentioned on drawing is 154.5 tons whereas water flow rate is mentioned as 371 GPM.
2- Capacities indicated in contract drawings for AHUs and Fan coil units are also based on contract chiller capacities of 154.5 tons. 3- Capacities indicated in contract drawing for Chilled water pumps are also based on chiller capacity of 154.5 tons. 4- All other components related to chiller system i.e. piping and air separators etc. are also based on contract chiller capacitors. Now after reviewing our submittal, consultant has proposed to upgrade the chiller capacities which will be more than the contract capacities.( Chiller Model will be upgraded from RTAC- 185 to RTAC-250). Upgrading chiller capacities will result in the following:
1-

Increase in physical dimensions, total weight and total input power of chillers from 244.9 kW to 327.0 kW.

2- Increase in capacities of chilled water pumps from 371 GPM to 489 GPM and their corresponding electrical requirements. 3- Revision in all AHUs and FCUs capacities to match with new chiller capacities. 4- Revision in all pipe sizes to take care of additional flow of 118 GPM. 5- Cost impact to revise the complete chilled water system.
