And indeed, on that day, American Section boys were all required to perform wudu and then gather in the schools multipurpose hall for a lecture by Mr. Abdullah Al-Ansari who was also their Imam in the prayer soon after. Four lectures were given in the course of four consecutive days to cover the entire student body. The dates and details are as follows: Timing: 11:30 AM 12:40 PM Mr. Abdullah Al-Ansari April 15th (American Section Boys) Mr. Abdullah Musa April 16th (Governmental Section Boys) Dr. Mona Dawood April 18th (Governmental Section Girls) Mrs. Fatima Al-Zarooni April 19th (American Section Girls) The four lectures focus was on praying. They discussed the same basic outlines, starting with the roots of how-to-pray correctly. Lectures talked about the merit of praying for a Muslim and the hardship one could face if he/she disregards praying to Allah. Students were able to freely ask questions about whatever they might have in mind concerning the subject. Following the lectures, the adhan was recited by the four lecturers respectively, summoning everyone for the mandatory prayer of dhuhr. Students and teachers, along with many parents, assembled in the multipurpose hall and prayed conveniently with the guidance of the Imam. The Prayer Project received wide acclaim from students and the staff altogether, for they have learned a lot during the lectures and were pleased with how the prayers were carried out. After the success of the project, it was only natural for it to continue until the end of the term and students will be drawn together daily toward the mosque to perform their obligatory prayer.
