Journal 3: Whose story is it anyways?

I will be telling the story of a juror because it will be more opinion and therefore I will have more play room. Mabel Wright was 68, retired school teacher and thinking fondly of her soaps that were calling her from her downtown pristine home. Not only had she missed a week of her story, she had also missed a women circle meeting, a bridge club, and a DAR luncheon. The thing that was keeping her away was some murder trial that had taken place over the railroad dealing with some white trash. She subconsciously patted her ever graying hair while attempting to peek at the young mans watch next to her. How much longer could these people drone on? Who cares, what really matters is who killed on her soaps.

What did I learn:


I learned how to create a narrative. This was extremely helpful because I had to create a character based off very little information. This exercise pushed my creativity and my means of writing. Instead of basing something off of information I had to use my creativity.
