Presently HQDA DCS G-8, Joint Requirement Officer Major Karl Petkovich was decorated with Bronze star Medal in 2004.
The same year he also received Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal and Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
His duties included coordinating between the commands to facilitate maximum support to the Iraqi people for oil projects, oil exports, fuel imports, fuel distribution, and infrastructure security.
Outstanding Achievments
Karl Petkovich was praised by his seniors for his exemplary services as a Liaison Officer. According to them, he exceeded every expectation in a job that was very complex as well as demanding.
He established a refining capability in the north, and it had not existed for over twenty years, until he intervened. Managed and disbursed hundreds of thousands of dollars supporting rebuilding and security activities on a daily basis .
Qualifications
First received an Associate degree in General Education from the Troy State University of Montgomery, Alabama in 1993. Later, he received a B.S. in Criminal Justice from the same university with Honors, Magna Cum Laude in 1994. The latest educational degree he received was in 2010 from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University Management from where he completed his Master of Project Management with Honors. .
