‘RAHU VAT SANI KUJA VAT KETU’- this is how the astrological dictum goes. In other words, Rahu is another Saturn and Ketu is Mars. Rahu and Ketu are shadowy planets i.e. ‘chhayagraphas’ but have been given very important role in Hindu Astrology. Among other remedial measures, ‘Gomedha’ is the gem/stone recommended for Rahu. But before recommending, it must be considered good in houses 3/6/10/11 from the Lagna and at the same time it is also an astrological principle that Rahu gives result of the sign in which it is posited. Some say that it will represent the lord of the sign in which it is placed. Therefore, before recommending ‘Gomedha’. It must be seen as to how the shadowy planet Rahu is placed, associated, conducted or associated. The power of Rahu is well known-even Sun and the Moon gets affected by Rahu – Solar eclipses and Lunar Ecipse is well known. Rahu represent different versions and it would be apt to refer only to few i.e. imprisonment, separation, diseases, low jobs, degraded jobs, litigation, violence, accidents but also connected with invention, secret matters, cheating, magic, bad habits of drinking and gambling. Though there is difference of opinion, but one opinion is that Rahu is exalted in Taurus (We need to settle this issue whether Rahu is exalted in Gemini). Gomedha is considered to be cold in nature. In English it is called Hasonite. It cures diseases of Rahu and Saturn. It also increases appetite, vitality, confers good health, wealth and happiness. Depending on the other planetary position, Gomedha is capable of bringing all-around prosperity. Gomedha is considered to cure the diseases of Rahu and Saturn. It also increases appetite, vitality, confers good health, wealth and happiness. Practically, Gomaedha is termed for all round prosperity. Finger for wearing Gomedha- It is accepted by all the Gomedha should be worn on little finger or 2nd finger though Dr. Chaudhri has suggested that it should be in 2nd finger of right hand but most of the astrologers have a belief that it can be put on either of the hand-right of left. Name for Gomedha-this has been referred to as Zircon, Hasonite, Lapis Lazuli. Readers may also throw light on this. General –Somedha is recommended for all those born between 15th Feb to 14 March i.e. governed by the sing Acquires rules by Saturn.

Before starting any work including wearing of Gomedha, God must be remembered in form in which the native has belief. God is creator of Universe and every from of energy is derived from diseases and troubles.
