Location: Most temperate deciduous forests are located in the eastern United States, Canada, Europe, China, Japan, and parts of Russia Climate: Temperate forests have a wide range of temperatures that correlate with the distinctive seasons. Temperatures range from hot in the summer with highs of 86 degrees Fahrenheit, to extremely cold in the winter with lows of - 22 degrees Fahrenheit. Rainfall is between 30 to 60 inches per year (75 - 150 cm). Common Species of Animals in This Biome: American Bald Eagle, Eastern Chipmunk, Duck Billed Platypus, Fat Dormouse, White-tailed Deer
