    Projects/Tests: Students will have a test on Wednesday, May 23rd! As always, ONE index card is allowed for use while taking the test. This week, students will be completing our unit on the history of the Southwest. We will identify the different people who controlled the Southwest and evaluate how each one left their influence on the culture of this region...and how that culture is continuing to evolve today!

    Projects/Tests: Students will have a test on Wednesday, May 23rd! As always, ONE index card is allowed. This week, students will be completing our unit on the Transatlantic Slave Trade. They will finish looking at what goods were traded in this route, and they will finish examining how the slave industry was affected by the same social forces we have been looking at all year: geography, politics, culture and economics. COMPUTERS: This week, students will begin acting as travel agents by choosing any area in the world and creating a travel package!

    Projects/Tests: Students will have a test on Wednesday, May 23rd! As always, ONE index card is allowed. Students will complete their analysis of the Byzantine Empire and its fall to the Islamic Ottoman empire. Students will examine closely how geography, culture, economics, and religion all played roles in its downfall. Also, they will analyze the importance of the leaders of this time.
