Calendar: Student asks: What is the date? What is the day of the week? What will the shape be? What is the pattern? How many days have we been in school? Teacher asks: (Suggestions) What number is 4 before todays? (or a similar question that has the students looking at the numbers on the calendar) How many more days until the end of the month? How many days since the beginning of the month? How many days is this month?
Math
When the students are finished they can do addition flash cards (blue bucket labelled flash Cards on the top shelf of book beach)

Reading Buddies
Mrs. Hambrooks grade 4 class is our reading buddy class The students need to find 3 books from the browsing boxes, hallway books or book beach to read with their buddy They will come down after attendance The grade 4s will leave at 2:20. The grade ones will write in their agendas at this time Agenda Item: Share your Friday Letter with your family After writing in agendas the students get their mailbags, put agenda in the mailbag and put the mailbag in their backpacks
Students will complete a title page for this unit to be put into their science duotang
