Show that x = 3 and y = 2 is a solution of 5x - 3y = 9. Solution : - Substituting x = 3 and y = 2 in the given equation, we get LHS = 5 * 3 - 3 * 2 = ( 15 - 6 ) = 9 RHS. x = 3 and y = 2 is a solution of 5x - 3y = 9 -Quadratic equation : - Equation of degree 2 are known as general form of the quadratic equation. For example 9x2 + 3x + 6 = 0, ( 1 / 6 )x 2 - 2x + 4 = 0. And the general form of the quadratic equation is ax2 + bx + c = 0.
