Scenarios for Skits

(To be cut up and dispersed among the groups)

Scenario #1 Sue Smith is on an awesome vacation in the Bahamas with her husband. She calls Jan Jones to tell her what a wonderful vacation she is having, and to look on her Facebook page to see her pictures. Jan looks at the pictures, and Sue looks like she is having a blast. One of them of Sue has a beautiful background, and Jan wants to have the picture on her Facebook, so she brings it over to her Facebook page. Jans page is not private, and a parent of one of Sues students just happens to be a friend of Jans Facebook page. The parent brings the picture to the attention of the administrator at the school. In the picture, Jan is clearly drinking an alcoholic beverage out of a marked bottle. She is also dressed in a two piece bikini. She looks like a model, but the parent doesnt want their son ogling over his teacher. She is in a professional position. Sue is called in to the administrators office. She is put on administrative leave and later fired.

Scenario #2

Mr. Jones is a young middle school teacher. The young girls in the school think he is so cute. One of them, a girl who seems more mature for her age, somehow gets his phone number and texts him about her assignment. Before long the texts turn into a more personal nature about each others lives. She leaves her phone at home one day, and her dad picks it up and glances at the texts. He is appalled at the content of the texts. He brings this to the attention of the administrator of the school. John is fired for sexting with a student.

Scenario #3 Jon Jones is an educator at an elementary school. The day has been rough. The kids were out of control and wouldnt listen to a thing he said. He just had to vent. On his Facebook page, he posted that his children were the Expletives demon spawn from the devil himself, and he couldnt wait till the week was over, and he couldnt care less whether he saw the children again. One of the parents of his students came across the posting, and was flabbergasted that he would make such a comment about her child. Her child is just an angel. She also didnt want her child seeing the

expletives she saw. She is not ready to hear these words from her child. She brings this to the attention of the administrator of the school and the teacher is let go, because his effectiveness as a teacher is compromised. Scenario #4 Mrs. Gabby, an elementary teacher, likes an inappropriate company (Playboy, sex toys, etc.) on her Facebook page. One of her students parents complains to her supervisor that as an educator, she should be held to higher standards. Mrs. Gabby is called into the supervisors office and put on administrative leave.

Scenario #5

Mr. Words, a young high school English teacher, posts a comment about a female students prom pictures on Facebook (You look nice, etc.) The principal hears the students commenting in the halls during breaks at school. Mr. Words is called into the office. He is let go because his effectiveness as a teacher is now in question.
