Music - The Halle Orchestra and Lets Sing!

The Halle Orchestra

On Thursday 21st July 2012 our class (Y5 Owls) went to Bridge Water Hall to play our recorders with some other schools and the world famous Halle Orchestra. Our favorite songs we played on our recorder were Thunder and Lightning and One Note Samba. We also sang with a professional singer called Keith Orwell and the song was The Olympic Theme. We felt really happy and it was really good. It was a great big life once in a lifetime opportunity and we were really lucky to play with them. Written by Caitlin and Oliver Y5 Owls

Lets Sing
Quality Pre-Owned Uniform
If you have any unwanted, out-grown school uniform please donate it to School. Not only will this help to recycle and reduce waste but will also provide a great service to other parents and help school funds. At our Summer Enterprise Fair we will have a Quality Pre-owned Uniform stall. Many thanks for your anticipated support! Our school Choir, Y3 Hummingbirds and Y4 Dragonflies children will be taking part in a Borough wide concert called Lets Sing. The concert is taking place at the DW Arena on Thursday 3rd July. It is a privilege to be part of Wigans singing community and will provide another wonderful experience where our children will be able to showcase their talents and love of music.

New Nursery Class Children

We only have 9 places left for our 52 place nursery from September 2012. If you are aware of a family that would enjoy 15 free hours of exciting learning opportunities, for their 3 year old child, please ask them to contact the school office. I am very proud to share with you that we continue to be the school of choice for our community and beyond!

Haigh Hall Sponsored Walk

In order to raise money for their Hinning House residential, our Y5 will be embarking on a sponsored walk to Haigh Hall and back. Please give generously as your help ensures that each and everyone of Y5 children can enjoy this unforgettable experience!

Toys and Trading Cards Please remind your children that playing cards and toys are not allowed in school. If your child is eager to swap trading cards please help them at the beginning and end of the school day on the playground.

Do you need an After School Club

If you require after school childcare from September please speak with Mr Concannon or Mrs Webb as soon as possible.
