    Whilst reaching upwards to present someone in a tree with a bag of organic cashews you move your arm forward

    20 cm and upwards 80 cm, thus your arm travels along the hypotenuse of the triangle created by these two lengths. At the completion of your journey your hand (and the cashews) have moved X cm.

    x = (80^2+20^2)
    (Theres some maths in between these).
