MAPEH

MAPEH is an acronym that stands for music, arts, physical education and health. These are the subjects offered as a combined unit in grade school. MAPEH study is encouraged to allow greater learning and development for a well-rounded individual. Students receive a sense of achievement from their projects, and the resulting confidence can spill into other areas of study. Music Music is an art form whose medium is sound and silence. Its common elements are pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articulation), dynamics, and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture. The word derives from Greek (mousike; "art of the Muses") Art Art is a term that describes a diverse range of human activities and the products of those activities, but here refers to the visual arts, which cover the creation of images or objects in fields including painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, and other visual media. Physical education Physical education (often abbreviated Phys. Ed. or P.E.) or gymnastics (gym or gym class) is a course taken during primary and secondary education that encourages psychomotor learning in a play or movement exploration setting. Health Health is the level of functional or metabolic efficiency of a living being. In humans, it is the general condition of a person's mind, body and spirit, usually meaning to be free from illness, injury or pain (as in good health or healthy). Citizen's Army Training (CAT)

Citizen's Army Training (CAT) is a compulsory military training for high school students. Fourth-year high school students undergo rigorous training including military drills and exercises are a normal sight on campuses. Students are also given lectures on the operations of the Philippine military system, set-up, and functions like a military unit. Training is conducted in battalions composed of several companies and the companies composed of several platoons wherein decisions are made through a chain of command under the supervision of the commandant.
