Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT), is the Investment Promotion Agency of province of the Punjab. The accomplishment of the vision envisaged by Chief Minister, Punjab depends on quality of human resource. Director Agriculture
He/she will be responsible for agriculture related projects and will work closely with the Director General Project & Policy Research and to take the leadership role for this sector including sector and development roadmaps, developing new business opportunities and facilitating new entrants and existing stakeholders in the sector with a view to boosting investment and trade. Responsibilities: Consolidate knowledge base specific to Agribusiness sector and reinvigorate sector expertise Assume ownership and responsibility for Agribusiness sector specific initiatives/projects Coordinate program implementation, planning, strategic development plans relevant to the Agribusiness sector Monitor and report progress and provide constant feedback to DG Project Development Identify and closely work with sector relevant national and international partners, ministries and Government departments Recommend policy initiatives and implement policies to stimulate investment and trade in the province To propose and help develop Greenfield investment projects Assist and coordinate in resolving issues of the stalled projects and getting them back on track Effectively propose feedback and guidance to provincial Government on issues arising in the Agribusiness sector Efficiently and effectively handle all the queries of the investors Provide potential investors with information about the investment climate of the province and matters relating to investment Assist and provide front end facilitation to potential investors and provide such other assistance as may be needed by an investor for the realization of his/her investment Build relationship and agreements with investors and manage ongoing relationships

Collect, compile and disseminate information on available investment opportunities Collect and analyze data related to the flow of investment Undertake activities to foster linkages between local and foreign investors, in coordination with agencies or departments, as necessary Provide local and foreign investors and prospective investors with information on potential joint venture partnership Establish procedures for the Wing to process applications for investment projects efficiently Coordinate with other Departments within the organization which will liaise with Government agencies, departments and authorities to identify and secure suitable land that may be required by investors and prospective investors to implement projects Manage weekly, monthly updates of the projects with best possible accuracy Any other duties assigned by the management.

Requirements:
Masters Degree or any other sixteen years degree qualification recognized from HEC. (PhD or foreign qualification will be preferred). Demonstrated ability to manage, negotiate and coordinate with sector experts, private public investors and partners.

At least 07 years of strong experience to develop and work within approved plans to meet time bound goals. Prior experience of working with an IPA will be given preference. Functional I.T. skills.

Director Livestock & Dairy Development


He/she will be responsible for Livestock & Dairy development related projects and will work closely with the Director General Project & Policy Research and to take the leadership role for this sector including sector and development roadmaps, developing new business opportunities and facilitating new entrants and existing stakeholders in the sector with a view to boosting investment and trade. Responsibilities: Provide feedback to the department head that can add value to achieving the goals of the department Consolidate knowledge base specific to Livestock sector and reinvigorate sector expertise Participation in Investment Conferences and efficiently offering project opportunities in Livestock sector Assume ownership and responsibility for Livestock sector specific initiatives/projects Identify and closely work with sector relevant national and international partners, ministries and Government departments Coordinate program implementation, planning, strategic development plans relevant to the Livestock sector

Research Associate (5 Posts)


He/she will be responsible for performing comprehensive Research and Analysis and providing optimum facilitation to foreign as well as local investors/ traders under over all policy and regulations and in the best interest of the Province and company. Responsibilities: Research and indentify, potential areas of trade and investment for Punjab. Undertaking all the tasks related to Facilitation Wings agenda visa-vis promotion of Investment and Trade. Prepare reports of findings, illustrating data graphically and translating complex findings into written text. Seek and provide information to help PBIT determine their position in the marketplace. Devise and evaluate methods and procedures for collecting data, such as surveys, opinion polls, or questionnaires, or arrange to obtain existing data. Monitor industry statistics and follow trends in trade literature. Conduct through country research with all priority countries identified by the Chief Minsters SOP on foreign visits. Participate and support management in preparing speech, presentation and analysis for external forums / events. Plans, arranges materials, edits, rewrites articles and verifies articles, videos, photographs and other communication materials. Regular contact with the local and foreign business community on their issues and obstacle to bring it to the knowledge of the Government departments and resolve on monthly basis. Closely liaise with the Chambers of Commerce in Punjab and foreign embassies to create a linkage of PBIT and Punjab. Organize investment conferences in Pakistan and abroad Act as the interface for all high level foreign delegations, including advance trips and follow-up-visits. Develop a repository of Business Contacts for PBIT to generate Investment. Carry out research on subjects assigned to facilitation wing. Assist in pre-investment as well as post investment care of investors and traders. Interact with the Federal, Provincial and Local Governments on behalf of investors, as assigned. Assist in implementing effective one window operation for investors. Closely liaise with the Marketing, Project and Admin Wings to achieve organizational goals Participate in monthly review meetings of the Facilitation Wing and keep follow up on decisions. To perform all other related duties in support of facilitation functions as and when required. Any other duties assigned by the management.

Requirements: MA Economics/MA Development Studies/ Mass communication/ Media Sciences/ BSc Civil/ Electrical engineering/BSc Agriculture/ LLB/ DVM or equivalent qualification are eligible to apply for the post. At least 1-2 years of strong experience to develop and work within approved plans to meet time bound goals. Prior experience of working with an IPA will be given preference. Functional I.T. skills.

Driver
He must be able to provide reliable and courteous transportation service to employees, guests etc with safety a top priority; to act as a peer counselor; to operate and maintain assigned vehicle(s); and to maintain vehicle and customer records. Responsibilities: Drive and maintain assigned vehicle(s) Keeps the assigned vehicle(s) clean inside and outside Up-to-date records of Log Book Vehicle condition reports Fueling the vehicles Performing daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensuring that periodic scheduled vehicle maintenance is completed Pick and drop of officers/guests Ensure hygiene and security while duty Ensure physical pressure while the vehicle is under repair Report to the Admin Officer, when leaves the office Other duties assigned by the management

Requirements: Minimum Matric. At least 2 years of strong work experience in the same role is preferable.
