We will again be gathering Hygiene Kits for MCC: Contents(New items in original pkgs.)1 adult- size toothbrush, 1 squeeze- tube toothpaste(min.6oz.),1 large bar bath soap,1 fingernail clipper(good quality),1 hand towel(larger than fingertip, dark color)You can pick up or we will put contents in 11x16 in. drawstring bags which we will deliver to MRC. Dec. 20, Thurs.-Jr. Youth will meet for Bible Study at the church from 7-8:30 p.m. Dec. 23, Sun.-Worship Service - Christmas Program will begin at 9:30 a.m., preceded by prelude music starting around 9:15 a.m. There will be no Sunday School classes. Dec. 31, Mon.-Gym night for the Youth at Gehmans Mennonite School and then lock-in at the church. Jan. 20, Sun.-Secret Sister Tea in the church fellowship hall at 4:00. Carla Eberly will be sharing her testimony of God's faithfulness through her family's adoption journey. More info later. -There will be no Youth Bible Study this week. -We are updating our scripture reading schedule for next year and are in need of scripture readers to open our Sunday morning worship services with a Call to Worship. Young, old, or somewhere in between, if you could serve in this way, please sign up on the sheet on the table in the narthex. -This Christmas the Outreach committee choose to have the church bless Mark Leatherman ( whose wife past on this year) and some other people in the area with some church connections with gift cards from gas stations, department and grocery stores, or cash can also be donated. We are asking anyone who wants to, to get gift cards any amount or cash and put it in a basket at the bottom of the Christmas tree in the narthex today. There are stars on the tree to serve as reminders to help you get a gift. If you have any questions ask Darrell, thanks! -You are invited to help provide a time of Christmas prelude music on Sunday morning, December 23rd prior to our Christmas program. Selections may be instrumental or voice, solos or small groups. All ages are welcome to participate. Please see Darlene or sign up on the sheet on the narthex table. Thank you! -A box of offering envelopes may be placed in your church mailbox later in December. If you used the offering envelopes in 2012 many of you will keep the same number. If you wish to begin using the envelope system in 2013 you will find boxes of envelopes on the table in the narthex (also later in December). Offerings: The offering on December 16th is for Released Time and budgeted items. Attendance for last week was 130. Offering for last week was $3,239.56. Dec. 16, Sun.- Christmas Caroling Today- Everyone is invited to go along to sing Christmas carols at Landis Homes. Meet at the Health Care entrance at 2 p.m. We will sing in Oregon House first and then the Harvest View lobby at 2:30 p.m. Caroling in the neighborhood, meet at the church to be ready to leave at 4 p.m. There will be a small meal afterwards. Dec. 19, Wed.-Sewing Circle will be held at Bowmansville Church. Comforts to be knotted are set up. A beautiful quilt is being quilted for the relief sale held in April benefiting MCC.
