On January 18th, we started our planning for unpredictable events, such as dangerous intruders and dangerous incidents (ex. Tornado), in which we would need to enable a Lockdown, Hold and Secure or Shelter in Place. The term Lockdown will be used to indicate a set of procedures whereby we will contain students in their classrooms. Students are to remain calm and quiet in their classroom or other designated area. The procedures were explained to all students by their teachers. We took care to explain to students that like a re drill, we need to plan and rehearse procedures that enable the safety of students and sta. We will have another drill this month.

Hello Parents: A new play structure will be installed in the kindergarten yard this coming spring! Thank you to our amazingly supportive school family for helping to raise enough money for this project. On to phase two! Our focus can now shift to the large play structure. Its in bad shape and needs to be replaced. This is a much larger project and therefore will be more expensive. We are looking for donations, sponsors, suggestions of organizations or people who could help. Please email jennifersymons@rogers.com if you have suggestions or thoughts. Thank you!!

Next Meeting Date; February 19th, 2013 at 7pm in the school library. We have fun and the meetings never go past 9pm. Everyone is welcome.

Dental Screening Time: The Health Unit will be coming in to screen the JK, SK and Grade 2 Students on February 11th and 12th commencing at 9:30 a.m.

Ms. Hicks's p.m. class and Mme Durants p.m. class DATES: February 5th to 21st (Tues & Thurs) Ms Toms p.m. class and Ms Hewitts p.m. class DATES: February 26th to March 21 (Tues & Thurs) Note: Swim Lesson Times are 1:00-1:45 p.m. Depart Time: 12:30 p.m. Return Time: 2:15 p.m.
