Welcome I would like to say thank you for your help and support over the past few months, the unit is going from strength to strength and we are increasing in our numbers, as we share our building with the 15th Morley Scout Troop the District Commissioner, myself and the leadership team at Woodkirk we are looking at relocating the Explorer unit to use the Tingley Scout HQ based up the road near Tingley roundabout. Currently there are no fixed dates for our move and I will be sending out information at a later date. As part of our partnership agreement and our close ties (two of our leaders have partners who are leaders at Woodkirk) we will still be linking with the group and working together on projects. First Aid On the 22nd of March we have our rescheduled explorer first aid course provided by Heartstart this will be taking place at Tingley Scout HQ, START TIME IS 19.30 - Please be there promptly. Skate and Swim on the Saturday the 23rd March we are looking at going swimming and Ice skating at the Doncaster Dome, I have attached a permission slip, the cost will be 7 for the days swimming and skating, could I please ask parents whether they could provide transport to and from the dome and if they have spare seats to take other Explorers. Parents can join in with the skate and swim or they can spectate. Skating session times are 10.00 to 11.30 with swimming from 12.00 to 14.30. Pick ups for parents is 15.00. Easter Explorers will not meet on Good friday 29 March.

Phoenix Overnighter On the 5th of April we are having an overnight stay at phoenix campsite in Morley, the evening will start at 18.30, we will have a campfire, a wide game with a difference, refreshments, a takeaway (please bring some money for pizza etc) and breakfast will be provided from unit funds, there is no cost for the overnighter apart from if you want a take away. If your child has their own tent they can bring it to the site. Could parents please collect their child from 11.30 on Saturday, a permission slip is attached. Many thanks
