Rewriting Frankenstein

Pick one of the following scenes from the play. Think about how the situation affected the Monster. Think about how if the scene unfolded differently, the Monster may have changed. Rewrite one of the following to show how they would have impacted the Monster and his choices in life if the situation had been different. 1. 2. 3. 4. When Frankenstein sees the monster for the first time and his reaction is to run away When the monster is in a town, where dogs and towns people are after him When Felix shoots the monster When the monster kills William

Your scene should have between 2-4 characters. 1 or 2 of these characters may be your own characters (not from the play). Your scene will have two parts: 1. What happens to the monster (the situation) 2. His choices as a result (the impact) Which scene will you rewrite? What is the situation in the scene? What do others do to the Monster? I am going to rewrite scene 3 when

Felix shoots the monster because he panicked when he saw the monster inside the house with his blind sister Agathe. Felix thinks the monster wants to kill Agathe so he desperately shoots at the poor monster who was only trying to do good.

How does this affect the Monster? What impact does it have on his life? What choices does he make as a result? It affects the monster because he was only trying to
do good, not harm Agathe. But Felix thinks that the monster is going to kill her, and then he tries to kill the monster which makes the monster really mad because he wasnt doing anything bad to Agathe. He wants to take revenge on all humans that have done bad to him because of what they have done to him after he was only trying to be caring and loving. But people still do bad to him because of the way that the monster looks.

How will you change the situation? How might things How will this affect the Monster? What impact will it happen differently during the scene? I will change the have on his life? What choices will he make as a scene to where Felix is about to shoot the monster, but when result? Well, it will impact his life because he finally finds
he does, Agathe is in the way and Felix accidentally shoots Agathe in the foot. So when Felix comes back to the house, he is worried about the monster in the house, and he tries to shoot the monster, but Agathe was in the way and Felix accidentally hits her foot. The monster helps Felix with recovering Agathe, and then the monster offers them to help them find a new home since they have been exiled. And Felix says yes because he realized how caring the monster was.Frankenstein and the siblings flee into France to find a new home where none of the three are wanted. When they settle down and find a new place to live, Felix lets the monster stay with them, so that they can have help if needed. The monster is happy because he finally found someone who he could love, hel p and live with. someone he can live and love with, instead of being treated badly by people who think he is a evil creature. This will help his decision making because when he isnt treated badly he wont treat other people badly because he is being treated nicely
