MIXFLOW LW

Light weight foam concrete admixture

Mixflow LW is a light weight concrete used for producing light weight, insulating roof screed giving drainage falls and providing a finish suitable to fixing a waterproofing membrane. Mixflow LW can be used for a variety of applications in addition to roof screeds. Mixflow LW is a stable cellular concrete 3 3 building chemical formulation having a density of 300kg/m to 750kg/m (depending on application). Mixflow LW consist of a honeycomb of concrete enclosing a system of small, regular, strong - walled air cells, which are not connected internally so it can resist the absorption of water easily. Tests are shown the importance of small and regular cells in producing a lightweight concrete of high strength combined with lightness and good thermal insulation properties. Appropriation Considering as thermal insulating material Mixflow LW will not decay or burn, or to be subject to vermin attack. The graphs showing thermal conductivity values and crushing Strength in relation to density is given under properties of Mixflow LW lightweight concrete. Mixflow LW is mainly using for the following areas Floor screeds under rigid floor finishes Pipe line and culvert insulation Cold store insulation Concrete panels & sandwich panel Technical properties Appearance: Light yellow liquid 0 Specific gravity: 1.1@20 c Chloride content: Nil Nitrate content: Nil Solubility in water: infinite 0 Freezing point: Less than 0 c Flash point: None

Mix design: Water: clean fresh water 0 Cement: OPC Cement, quick setting cement may be used in cold conditions, ie +5 C or below 3 Mixflow LW: 1.3kg / m Sand: Clean sharp sand as used for good quality mortar Note: Detailed mix designs are shown in the above chart - mix designs for various densities / m - The amount of Mixflow LW used is subject to slight variations owed to differences in the hardness of the local water supply and the properties of the cement. There is any variation in a larger way of using Mixflow LW occurred where water supplies are polluted or by using cement from old stock. Therefore it is very important to make sure the supply of water and cement must be fresh and clean and from new stock respectively to produce the Mixflow LW Light weight concrete economically. Water cement ratio is very important due to its effect on the quality of foam concrete. The compressive resistance of the foam concrete is also determined by the homogeneous distribution of the pores. The more even the distribution and smaller the pores, the better compressive strength. The homogeneity is again a function of the consistency and thus of the water ratio
