PURPOSE ISSUE DATE:


To notify revised pay scales applicable to Basic Grade Trainee Forensic 13 May 2005
Psychologists with effect from 1 July 2004.

Chief Officers should ensure that the revised pay rates are implemented as
appropriate. EXPIRY DATE:
January 2009
SUMMARY
Please find attached revised pay scales for basic grade Psychologists TO:
effective from 1 July 2004. Appendix A relates to staff in post prior to 1
Chairs of Probation Boards
January 2004; Appendix B to staff appointed on or after 1 January 2004.
Chief Officers of Probation
The revised scales represent a 1.5% revalorisation of the pay spine.
Secretaries of Probation Boards
It should be noted that the NPS common incremental date of 1 April applies Heads of Human Resources
in respect of these staff (six steps on the spine represent one increment).

This PC should have been distributed at the beginning of this year. Board Treasurers
Unfortunately, it was not registered in the first instance and therefore we Regional Managers
have found it necessary to redistribute it in order to rectify this situation.
