I.

Reflect on how your administrator organized the school. Our school administrator was at first, I admired how she organized or managed the school and us, the teacher. But as time goes on, I, also my coteacher was disappointed with how she runs the school. She is not consistent with all her decisions, one example of those is, two weeks before the program we agreed that the attire of the students in the program was formal attire (dress for girls and long sleeves and black pants for boys) but the day before the program she changed her decision, she decided the students to be just in uniform, many parents were disappointed because after they bought signature dresses for their children, she just changed her mind as that! She also scolded us teachers infront of the parents, using MICROPHONE, she stressed out how she disappointed to us teachers of not following her, how can we follow her if the parents were also complaining about her decision, her immediate change of mind, that was the first time I felt disappointed actually not only disappointment but also I felt Im useless in the academy, I was thinking that time, that the parents will no longer respect us after that incident. How can they respect us if our own principal is not respecting us? That is one of my many nightmares in this school. And most of the time, shes forgetful with what she told us. I was suggesting before to record all what she will say to us, and also I suggested having one teacher to take the minutes of the meeting so that if she forgot her statement, theres one who will remind her opo mam, sinabi nyo nga po yun! I also found her unappreciative, her reason for that is because we are a teacher so, we should do it with positive outcome, and it should be successful. Are you expecting your activity/program to be a failure? Of course not, so why should I appreciate it.

She once told it. Just this November, the owner of the school also reports in the school. We dont know if shes trying to mediate between the parents/teachers and the principal. But her teachers will no longer excited, dont have the eagerness to go to work because of her principal. Actually, we are just working because of the pity to our students. They are not the one who should sacrifice. Just last Wednesday, we have given them a survey, and me as their teacher was also disappointed with what the parents have written on the survey. Its the owner who will decide. II. If I will be the principal, things I will do: If given a chance to be a principal in the school where I am connected, first I will make myself knowledgeable in computer so I can do small things like encoding the grades. I will also undergo anger management. I will become appreciative to my teachers because though it is their responsibilities to be successful in their doings, but the extra effort they have exerted on that particular activities which I havent give or pay extra is enough reason to be thankful for them. A simple tap on their shoulder is a gesture which means a lot for them. Another I would do is, I will provide a planner or an organizer for myself and I will write everything I will say, I will do and I will act so that my teachers will not get mad at me for being forgetful. I will assign one teacher to take the minutes of the meeting so that on my part it will not add to my works. I will also have an agenda every time I conducted a meeting. One of the complains of the teachers is that, the principal calls for a meeting without a clear agenda, sometime she calls a meeting only to scold one of the teacher. So I will eliminate that and for me that is unhealthy relationship between us. Another is, if I will have to send teacher in seminars I will make it sure that each one of them attends at least one seminar in a year. Not that sending only one/two teacher/s again and again as if theres no teachers around except for them. I will put a faculty room so that my teachers will have their room where they can stay during their vacant hour and they can put their things not carrying them wherever they will go and they will not look like a squatter. I will conduct teambuilding and I will make it sure that I will join them, not teambuilding that only teachers are participating I will participate with them so that I can build rapport with them, the teachers will feel comfortable with me, not as if theres a wall between me and them. Another and most important is, I will suggest, I will insist to increase the salary of my teachers to the owner, giving them five/six thousand is not fair enough. Below the minimum is I think being so cruel to the teachers, and expecting them to better, when they do better you expect them to do best, but hey, can you

check our salary? Having 300 plus students with P26, 000 tuition (including books) can give fair salary to the teachers. Of course, us teachers should do the best, but if we fail dont scold us as if we commit sin like a killer, etcanother is, I will always read the handbook so that in time I can memorize the rules and regulations of the school. During flag ceremony, I will use MICROPHONE so that all the students and teachers will hear me, and first before that, I will buy or request to the administrator to provide us MICROPHONES!
