Chapter 10: Teachers that have been an inspiration for me
Name: Olaya Monserrat Martínez Espinosa
Date: 03/05/2020 Group: 009 /212 When I was in high school my teachers were good but they didn’t have the passion of teaching and the motivation. Now in university I love my teachers, most of them are so intelligent, are good teachers and love to teach but also they are teachers that inspires me and motivate me. Sometimes I wonder what are the characteristics that a teacher need to have to be good, well in base of my experience I am going to tell and describe some characteristics I think a good teacher need to have to be an inspiration. First of all, what I look in my teachers to consider them an inspiration is to have a contagious enthusiasm for his teaching, I want a teacher who is creative, and love his job not for the money but for the passion, I want a teacher who can add pace and humor to the class, I want a teacher who challenges me in everything that I do to become a better person, I want a teacher who is encouraging and patient, and who will not give up on me because a lot of them had lost the faith on the students, I want a teacher who knows grammar well and who can explain something on the spot 1 if necessary, I want a teacher who will take a minute or two to answer a question after class and to have the compromise of helping his students. First I am going to start by describing my teachers of my first year in university, in my first year my teachers were really empathic, they understood we were afraid of this new chapter in our lives. In this first year the teachers motivate me a lot to continue and follow my dreams, the motivate me not only for my classes but for my life. In this first year I entered to volleyball classes and my coach was so strict to me, I thought he hated me, but now I know he wanted the best for me, if it wasn’t because of him I wouldn’t be as good as I am today, this teacher is an inspiration to me because he never gives up, he motivated me every day to be a better athlete and person despite the circumstances, they were good days, but also bad days but that never stopped him. My fist year teachers were the key for me to stay in the university, if it wasn’t because of them I think I wouldn’t be in fapsi anymore. In my second year I meet also the best teachers! My favorite ones, I think every year it gets better. In this year I met a teacher that gave me the subject of environmental psychology, this teacher is my favorite, because he entered the 7 am classroom and I was happy already, he inspired me because he always teaches with an enthusiasm and a smile on his face, he motivated me to go to an internship but also he loves what he was doing, I was so happy in that class, it was my favorite one of the year in spite of the hour. This last year I had also a teacher that inspires me a lot because of her knowledge, I met her in the practice center, she teaches me a lot, she challenges me and also motivate me to make the things better, she had a lot of patience because I was new and to be honest I had no idea what I was doing.
