2012-2013 Clements DECA Officer Responsibilities Co-Presidents**: (2) You will be the heads of Clements DECA. Your shared responsibilities include (but are not limited to) organizing officer meetings and delegating responsibilities down to your officer team in an appropriate manner. You must be effective leaders and run your team cohesively. VP of Records**: (1) Your role will be to keep a detailed record of all members of Clements DECA and of members attending each and every event. You will serve as the secretary of Clements DECA, and you must attend all DECA events possible. VP of Communications**: (1) Your role is vital for the functioning of this team. You will be required to produce and maintain texting trees to keep in touch with the other officers and members. You will also need to contact CTV and post things on Rangerwire to get word out about our events. We recommend that you send all information about events and competitions to CTV and the Rangerwire at least 2-3 weeks prior to the event. All executive information will be passed down through you to share with the chapter, so you must be active on Facebook and Twitter and check your e-mails constantly. You must attend all DECA events possible. VP of Finance**: (1) Your role will be to keep track of all tabulation of funds coming into the chapter during all competitions, socials, and other events. You must be highly organized in the manner in which you keep track of money coming and going out of the Clements DECA fund. You will serve as the treasurer of Clements DECA, and you must attend all DECA events possible. Historians: (2) Your role is to accurately depict the journey of Clements DECA, therefore attendance at all DECA related events is mandatory. You need to be able to break the ice and get to know all the different types of people that choose to participate in this club so everyone is included. You will be responsible for representing all the facets of our club in the year-book ad, organizing officer pictures, and creating a slideshow for the banquet. Competition Prep Team: (3) - Your role is critical to the success of the next year's members at competition. You will be required to create study session calendars and conduct study sessions consistently throughout the course of the year, not just around competition time. Each of you will focus on one of the main competitive categories (food, marketing, hospitality, and administration) and provide assistance based on your specified area at sessions. When competition arrives you will guide people in to choosing their categories based on their abilities. Parliamentarians (2) You both will have to work as a team to decorate and update the display case according to season, holiday, and competition winners. It will be your responsibility to update all Deca information throughout the year in the school. Membership will be your primary focus during the beginning months of the year, and affluently getting out the name of "Clements Deca" Social Coordinators (2) You will be accountable for all the socials held throughout the year. We should have approximately 5 socials (like one every 1-2 mo.) including events for holidays like Halloween/Christmas/Valentines Day? Your goal is to keep DECA interesting during the year when competition is not going on, and giving members an opportunity to stay connected and have fun. The banquet at the end of the year is also your responsibility including the venue, planning, and organizing it. Volunteer Coordinator: (1) Your responsibility is to find volunteer events every month (at least one per month, but more is better) to present to the members, and the events must be found on your OWN. You will need to get the word out, and oversee and attend all the planned volunteer events. Webmaster: (1) You are responsible for Clementsdeca.com. You will need to update the website at all times with accurate and new information. A calendar with all upcoming events like study sessions, socials, volunteering, and competition must be present, and it is your responsibility to find out this information and getting it posted. Study materials on the website must also be securely posted, accessible only to Clements Students. ** Executive Positions which require an off period for seniors and an Eppes class for juniors/sophomores
