Gaijin Sentai, a band that introduced versions to anime and tokusatsu songs with the heavy metal loudness and the heat of the brazilian rhythms and that, very soon, put them on highlights of japanese pop culture festivals across the country, also Chile, Argentina, Portugal, yelding a joint tour with Eizo Sakamoto (Anthem, Animetal and JAM Project) through South America, and special presentations with Edu Falaschi (Almah, Angra). After showing in several events of japanese culture, such as Festival do Japo, Tanabata Matsuri and Anime Friends, the band has become the biggest national reference in animesongs. The recognition of the Otaku audience came with the victory on the Sony Ericssion Animax de Msica Independente competition. Since then, Gaijin Sentai was the protagonist in several reports and TV shows such as Globo TV, Play TV, Estado, Rede TV, Rede Bandeirantes, Multishow and the japanese TV channel NHK. As for 2013, the band estabilished a daring goal: to make the first hard rock/metal record entirely recorded in japanese produced in the West.

To help achieving the making of this Project, the band signed up in a competition of the Programa de Ao Cultural (PROAC), of the So Paulo State Government, and was the winner among more than 500 projects, obtaining financial resources to achieve the dream of producing a record.

It was a surprise to receive the news. After all, playing Japanese rock we had been selected among many candidates already acclaimed on the Brazilian Popular Music scene, says Jefferson Amorim, Gaijin Sentai keyboard player. The PROAC prize garanteed the high quality in the recording of the album entitled OST.

Mixed on Norcal Studios by Brendan Duffey and Adriano Daga, that already worked with great rock names such as Angra, Edu Falaschi, Andre Matos, OST counts with 12 tracks, mixing the traditional male and female vocals of Gaijin Sentai, besides special appearances, such as the japanese rockstar Eizo Sakamoto, that lends his voice on two songs, and the respected Tsukasa Kaito and Yoohey Kaito, references in Brazil when the words are Taiko and Shamisen.

Another differential of OST is the rich booklet, that contais 13 illustrations related directly to the album and the tokusatsu influences from the 60s, 70s and 80s. Weve tried to reproduce the poetry of the productions, but with all the care, so to produce something authentic, and at the same time related to the songs and that could contribute to the work as a whole, tells Nordan, Gaijin Sentai lead singer. OST is already available for sale at specialized shops and on ITunes.
