Unite the Resistance l Collection for strikers

Workers at the Hovis factory in Wigan are set to hold three week-long strikes. In April management sacked thirty workers. They have now brought in agency workers on zero-hour contracts. The company is trying to drive down wages. If they succeed hundreds of workers

could end up on minimum wage jobs. Hovis have recently closed two other factories and made 900 workers redundant. The first week-long strike is due to begin on 28 August. Further strikes are scheduled for 1118 September and 25 September 2 October.
