UID, which can be found on your letter. LIFECARE UK A huge thank you to all the parents and carers who came along to the LifeCare UK fundraising event yesterday at NCS. The cake and snack sale, which was organised by parents, helped to raise over 320 to support children in Syria. It was a wonderful event and raised much-needed funds for a great cause. BRADFORD CITY TICKETS After the success of our reduced-price Bradford City tickets last year, the club have once again given us a collection of discounted tickets for their home match on 16th November 2013 against Coventry. Tickets are priced at 1 for under 11s, 2 for under 18s and 5 for adults. If you are interested in purchasing the tickets, please come down to the office for more information. CIRCUS TICKETS In addition to the Bradford City Football Club tickets, we also have a number of free circus tickets to give away to families. The tickets are for the Circus in Bingley on 31st October. For those who havent, please be aware that the deadline for applications is Monday 31st October. If you send your application in late, your may not be guaranteed your first choice of school. RUNNING FOR RESULTS Our Running for Results children were also chosen this week. These children, who are all from Yr6, will take part in a special running club with Mr Herrington on Friday afternoons. This will help to raise confidence and determination, as well as being a way to keep fit and healthy! The children have all been fitted with trainers, which they will be allowed to keep at the end of the year. READING CHALLENGE Many of our families took part in the Summer Reading Challenge over the holidays, which encouraged children to keep reading while away from school. Our reading challenges have been extremely successful and we are really looking forward to starting them again this year with the Autumn Reading Challenge. We still, however, have a number of books that have not been returned to the library after the challenges have finished. It is very important that all books are returned so that we can continue to provide an exciting and interesting library for all our children to use. E-SAFETY ON THE BLOG
