Autumn Half Term 1 My maths> number > Independent: Mental maths test is cut up into sections place value > level 2 and students move around the tables completing the (lesson activities questions within set time limits. The questions will be 2&3) colour coded to shoe difficulty rating. Whole Class: Make a number Whole group activity using number cards and operation cards. (see attached lesson resources for outline of task)

All: Understand the properties of numbers. Most: To develop number bonds to 100. Few: Show reasoning and work out more than one solution to a problem.

Your numbers up! See attached resource sheet for explanation.

Theme: Number bonds to 100/50 & 20 Whole Class: Practise questions from whiteboard reinforce the grid methods of finding number bonds, use of number line for subtraction and multiplication grids. Independent: Students complete the sums on their lollipop sticks using the resources provided. The correct answer is out into the corresponding pumpkin lantern and they receive a Halloween stamp for each correct answer.

All will be able to add 2 single digits using their fingers or a number line. Some will be able to add 2 single digits using mental addition.

Roll the dice and find the sum w/b game explanation.

Whole Class: IWB spooky house game working in pairs using 2 dice to match the sum on the spooky house first. Independent: LA Students complete a pumpkin face using a range of symmetrical shapes from pre-cut templates to be put onto display.

HA Complete the spooky house addition game using a 12 and 6 side dice.
Extension: Students can make up their own sums for the answers and check with a friend.

All will be able to follow a set of oral instructions to make a 3d pumpkin. Some will be able to write their times tables in sequence.

Times tables pumpkins Halloween pumpkin faces.

Whole class: Times tables its a knock out game. Independent: Students contrast a Halloween pumpkin using paper, scissors and glue.
