What Were Learning! Lo que estamos aprendiendo!

Reading/Lectura: We are working on the following standard for reading informational texts: ELACC2RI5: Know and use various text features (e.g., captions, bold print, subheadings, glossaries) to locate key facts or information in a text efficiently. Conocer y utilizar las diferentes funciones de texto (por ejemplo, subttulos, negritas, subttulos, glosarios) para localizar los hechos clave y la informacin de un texto de manera eficiente. Writing/Escritura: We are writing informational pieces. The children are sharing information on topics they already know a lot about, using a structure that includes an opening, a body, and a closing. Estamos escribiendo piezas informativas.
Math/Matemticas: We have moved into applying our math skills to story problems. This is very challenging work and our students are doing really well! We enjoyed seeing parents during conferences. Our teamwork is important to our childrens success!
