Principals Message We have had an outstanding 1st quarter of school. Teachers and staff continue to collaborate on professional learning in order to provide the best practices in a standards -based classroom. We are working hard to provide 21st Century Classroom experiences for all students as part of our School Improvement Plan. Please continue to work with your childs teacher each day by promoting reading at home, working with your child each night on math facts, by checking homework assignments and Tuesday folders. Veterans Day is November 11th; Wear red, white, and blue to show our support for all of our Veterans! Please contact me if I can be of service. John Wiggins

Safe Schools
In order to maintain a safe environment for our children to study and learn, it is necessary to practice our emergency and crisis response plans. We will conduct various drills throughout the year. We revisited our Emergency Preparedness Plan and rehearsed our lockdown drill to ensure students are safe. This type of drill will secure the school building and safely shelter all students, staff, and visitors inside the building. The school conducts a fire drill each month school is in session. This is a state fire code requirement, as well as a requirement by Georgia Public Schools. The shelter-in-place drill or tornado drill will be conducted during the school year. The purpose of this drill is to be prepared to move to a safe location within the building in case of severe weather. Please remember practice drills are implemented to help maintain a safe and secure learning environment. Our school safety coordinator is Ryan Dupraw.

News from the Nurse...

The weather is getting colder, so please make sure you dress your children appropriately. As always, remember to wash your hands or use hand sanitizer, especially after coughing, sneezing or going to the bathroom. If you havent thought about getting a flu shot - Nows the time! It is recommended that children with asthma, diabetes or other chronic health issues have a flu shot. Please make yourself and your child an appointment to have one if you fall into one of these categories. Have an enjoyable month of November and be safe over the holidays! Always feel free to call me with any questions Nurse April
