Thistypeofovariantumorproducesprogesterone.Theexcessofthishormoneproducesthesymptoms thataccompanythisdisease. Progesteronedeterminesthemodificationsintheendometriumthatblockmenstruation.Thesymptomsof thistumorsimulatepregnancy. Itcancausehirsutism.[2]
