Sir, With reference to your letter no. NHAI/PIU-RTK/RTK-JIND/Utility-UHBVN/13-14/1059 dated 6th Aug 2013. We submit that the revised estimate for shifting of LT and 11 KU and from existing chainage 307+000 km to existing chainage 320+600 km at Rohtak Jind road in distt. Jind. received from concessionaire vide their letter no VIL/BOT/ROHTAK-JIND/NH-71/2013/52 dated September 02, 2013. In the revised estimate of Rs. 3,95,35,164/- the concessionaire has mentioned 1.5% supervision charge as work to be carried out by the concessionaire under the supervision of UHVBN which seems to be reasonable. In this regard, the following observations are furnished for your consideration (a) Since the work has to be carried out by the concessionaire, there is no requirement of paying 10% of extra as departmental charges, as requested by concessionaire, hence not recommended. (b) The proposal has been examined and it is found in order. (c) The estimate matches with ground conditions. (d) The concessionaire has adopted concerned deptt. (UHBVN) schedule of rates. The utilities has to be shifted as it is affecting Rohtak-Jind Highway Project. (e) No new work has been envisaged in utility shifting estimate and provisions covered in the estimate have not been taken in any other estimate sanctioned earlier. (f) Concessionaire has signed on each estimate as the work has to be executed by them only.

Therefore it is recommended to endorse the above mentioned amount of estimate inclusive 1.5% of supervision charges for the subject referred work.
