Subject: “Consultancy Services for Authority’s Engineer for supervision of Rehabilitation and Up-gradation to 4
Lane configuration & Strengthening of Thanpuri to Paror section from Km 85+135 to Km 100.840 of NH-20
(New Nh-154) (Design Length 16.275 KM) of Pathankot-Mandi under NH (O) in H.P (Package-IIC) on EPC
mode. Regarding submission of water utilities.

Dear Sir,

In context with the above cited subject and letter referred above, the EPC contractor has requested for the
deposition of Supervision Charges for existing water utilities from the Authority. Accordingly, a joint inspection
has been carried out along with the representative of EPC contractor on 12.05.2023 and found that the details of
utilities present as per schedule- A of contract agreement, utilities observed on site and the estimate submitted for
shifting of utilities at same locations are differing with each other, the detailed comparison sheet is attached
herewith.

It is submitted that as per the Article- 9 of CA which states the contractor shall execute such utility shifting works
under the supervision of utility owning agency and Authority’s Engineer in accordance with the provision of
Agreement. The supervision charges only shall be paid by the Authority to the utility Owning agency.

Based on the request made by the EPC contractor, it is recommended to deposit the Supervision Charges as
provided in the Schedule- A for shifting of water utility to the concerned utility owning agency.
