Introduction

This

is

the

first

time

that

Bayanan

Elementary

School Main will conduct an event this way. Its one of a kind because we are promoting love for reading in a fun way. We all hope that children will enjoy their activity for its not every day that they will

experience this kind of atmosphere in school. Every Grade 1 classroom that they will be going to visit will be a delight for them for its festive look and cozy appeal. Teachers will serve as facilitators for each

station. Each room has different fun reading activities that will cater the need to practice reading and to have fun while doing it. Children's reading activities are designed to enrich and enlighten the reading

experience and hopefully lead to a lifetime love for reading. Teachers have prepared reading activities that hopefully will leave a mark to each childs memory for they are unique, creative, interactive, motivating,

collaborative and fresh. We all wish that this is the beginning of a long journey to make our children enjoy reading thus making them good readers.

GRADE ONE-I Activity Title: Hiking Day I. Objective Listen attentively to the story Recall the details of the story Answer WH Questions II. Materials Story: Up the Mountain By: Dr. Nati A. Santos Pictures III. Activities 1. Pupils listen to the story. 2. Asking WH Questions. 3. Select from the group of pictures the animals found in the story.

GRADE ONE-2 Activity Title: The Giving Tree I. Objective Read the CVC words correctly. Have fun while learning. II. Materials Styrofoam Paint Paint Brush Rugby Vellum Board III. Procedures 1 The teacher will divide the class into 4 groups. 2. Each group will fall in line and take place of harvesting fruits from the tree 3. After that, all members of the group are expected to read the words from the tree. 4. The group which has the most number of correct words read will be declared as a winner.

The teacher will introduce the different characters from the storybook. 2. The teacher will distribute a coloring book and pupils will color the characters. 3. The teacher will show different character and pupils will identify the name of the character.

Activity Title: Catch me if you can! I. Objective Read the CVC words correctly. Identify the rime of each word by placing it in the proper box provided for the answer. Have fun while learning. II. Materials 3 packs vellum paper assorted paper clips nylon thread sticks boxes III. Procedures 1 The teacher will divide the class into 4 groups. 2. Each group will be given 1 fishing rod. 3. Each group will choose a leader to catch fish 4. After that, all members of the group are expected to read the words on the fish. 5. Activity Title: I. Objective

Spell the CVC words correctly. Have fun while learning. II. Materials Jumping rope Hula hoop Riddles Prizes: I can spell medal III. Procedures 1. The teacher will group the pupils into 2 or 4. 2. The teacher will tell a riddle as the pupils guessed the answers. 3. The pupil who knows the answer gets the jumping rope and jump 3 times, then hula hoops two times after that goes in front of a chart (where the alphabet letters are place) then gets the appropriate letter and spells it. 4. The group who is fast and spells more words than the other groups wins.

ACTIVITY TITLE: Its showtime! Objectives Have fun while watching the story to be presented. Answer the questions to be given. Do varied activities that promote team effort. II. Materials vellum board 4 pentel pen 4 boxes crayons 4 scissors III. Procedures 1. The children will view a story Brown Bear, What do you see? 2. Each leader will get a question from the box and the whole groups are expected to write the correct answer on the sheet of paper provided for them. 3. They will all read their answers. 4. The next part is they are going to sequence the pictures of the animals from the video. 5. Finally, each group will color the animal assigned to them and sing along to the video.

Group pupils into 4 teams. 2. Each member will pick CVC word. 3. Player one will say the correct pronunciation of the CVC words. 4. The Player who got it right will have a corresponding ball. 5. A player with balls will shoot it on their basket. 6. The team with more ball wins.
