ACNE
Acne has many contributing factors and stages, it is imperative to consult asses and treat individually with each patients needs and lifestyle. Dr Saras had been working closely with skin conditions since 1988, she may prescribe prescription creams or oral medications after a thorough analysis of the condition and its causes. Treatments for Acne Peels-see peels Acne Laser DESCRIPTION Acne infections increase blood supply in the affected area, Acne Laser is drawn to this excess blood under the skin. A comfortable heat will be induced, killing the Acne causing bacteria. This Acne laser treatment also works to safely penetrate the skin to thermally and selectively destroy overactive sebaceous (oil) glands and calm inflammation. FRACTIONAL LASER SKIN RESURFACING

Fractional Laser Skin resurfacing is a fast, safe and simple procedure; it will induce a lesser degree of down time than its fully ablative counterparts. Treatments can range from light ablative rejuvenation treatments, to Acne scar reduction, to deep collagen remodeling. We can tailor your treatment to your specific concerns and areas of concern. Fractional laser skin resurfacing allows the penetration depth to be precisely controlled, unlike other unpredictable scar reduction therapies, rendering it very safe and the outcome very predictable. Feedback from our patients having this treatment is they were back at work the very next day in some cases. Ie the social down time is quite minimal. LASER HAIR REDUCTION

DESCRIPTION Growth can be a result of medication, genetics or hormonal changes, or just plain unwanted hair! Either way we make it easy and safe to remove on ALL SKIN TYPES! At Dr Saras & Co. we use only the safest and most advanced technology, Fotona ND Yag primarily aims to destroy the blood supply at the base of the follicle rendering hair growth impossible. Due to minimal blood flow elsewhere in the skin ,no damage will occur to the surrounding tissue, making Fotona ND Yag not only top of its class in long term hair reduction and safety, but unlike many lasers SAFE AND EFFECTIVE ON ALL SKIN COLOURINGS. A thorough consultation of steps to follow before and after treatment and a patch test is always conducted, this allows you and our therapists to see and feel the skin response and be comfortable with the procedure to follow. We recommend shaving 2-3 days prior to your treatment, however, for the face, it is best to leave the area untouched. No waxing, tweezing, electrolysis, threading or bleaching the area at least 4 weeks prior to the treatment. It is imperative with ALL lasers that patients avoid ANY sun exposure, tanning beds, and fake tanning products for at least 4 weeks prior to treatment. BENEFITS & FACTS Usually 8-10 treatments at 6-8 weeks intervals are recommended for a 95% reduction in growth. Though the number of treatments required varies with several factors. This will assessed and discussed through your consultation. Time spend in treatment will range pending on the areas to be treated eg UA takes only 3-5 minutes. Erythema (redness) and slight oedema (swelling) are very normal after having a laser treatment and usually resolve after a few hours, however redness may last up to a day or two. Keeping the area free from heat or friction for 48 hours is very important and ice may be applied to help the cooling process. To all clients we recommend using our Post Laser Lotion to reduce inflammation and calm the area. On facial areas using an SPF is very important. You may continue shaving throughout your treatments, you will notice hair will grow back finer and softer and patches where no hair grows back at all! Even after just 1 treatment 45% of patients notice greater than a 50% reduction in growth!

ROSACEA
Rosacea typically begins as redness on the central face across the cheeks, nose, or forehead. In some cases, additional symptoms, such as semi-permanent redness, (dilation of superficial blood vessels on the face), red domed papules (small bumps), flushing and sensitivity occur. Daily activities such as stress, alcohol or spicy food can flare this flushing. Resulting in unwanted redness. Through advised product choices and maintaining a laser program we can help control the severity of roceasa, and remove the dilated vessels associated with the condition. Treatments For Rosacea

REMOVAL OF RED VESSELS

DESCRIPTION & FACTS We are able to treat various vascular lesions with Fotonas precision penetrative abilities. Energy from the laser is absorbed by broken, enlarged or dilated vessels. This creates heat in the unwanted vessel, destroying the vascular wall. The body will clear the vessel tissue naturally. It is imperative with ALL lasers that patients avoid ANY sun, tanning beds, and fake tanning products for at least 4 weeks prior to treatment. Treatment is relatively painless, we use a cool gel and a -40 air flow for your comfort. Pending on size of treatment area, treatment can take anywhere from 10 minutes (eg nose) for a small area to 20 minutes on a larger area (eg legs) Down time is minimal if any, Erythema (redness) and slight oedema (swelling) are very normal after having a laser treatment and usually resolve after a few hours, however redness may last up to a day or two. Treatments are performed at 4-6 week intervals. Number of treatments necessary will vary with the location, network area, and size of the unwanted vessel. Generally 2-3 treatments is enough to clear a small area like the nose.

3D LASER REJUVENATION
DESCRIPTION 3D Laser Rejuvenation is a 3-dimensional, non-ablative procedure. It induces a 3D pattern of micro wounds into prematurely aged or damaged portions of the skin. The natural healing response of the skin then repairs these micro wounds, thereby rejuvenating the skin, improving health, texture, tone and colour. As usual,It is imperative with ALL lasers that patients avoid ANY sun exposure, tanning beds, and fake tanning products for at least 4 weeks prior to treatment. At Dr Saras & Co we love this treatment as an add on to complement other laser treatments (see twin light Laser treatments) We also love it as its so easy!! NO DOWNTIME, no pain and completed in 15 minutes! BENEFITS & FACTS Treatments alone are best done as a series. A minimum of 6 treatments, 2 to 4 weeks apart, are recommended. Follow-up treatments will be needed to maintain continued collagen growth.

TWIN LIGHT ACNE

DESCRIPTION The flexibility and diversity of this treatment is endless on different areas of concern and severity of breakouts/infection. A must for stubborn acne or hormonal breakouts. Hyperhidrosis Approximately 1% of the population is affected by significant excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), usually affecting the palms, the armpits, the soles of the feet, and sometimes the face. Hyperhidrosis is a serious medical condition, affecting work productivity, daily activities, emotional well-being and personal relationships. Antiperspirants are the first-line treatments for hyperhidrosis, but these frequently fail. HYPERHIDROSIS TREATMENT DESCRIPTION Treatment helps control the symptoms of severe underarm sweating by blocking the chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate the sweat glands. When the sweat glands dont receive chemical signals, the severe sweating stops. Botox injections are expected to temporarily stop the production of excessive sweat in the treated areas only. Sweat continues to be produced elsewhere. The actual treatment takes about 10 to 15 minutes. A small amount of solution is injected into the affected area through a very fine needle, so you may experience some injection-related discomfort. Youll receive about 15 injections during the session BENEFITS AND FACTS You should notice a significant reduction in underarm sweating within 4 weeks of your first treatment. Once the treatment becomes effective, you may be able to stop using dress shields and carrying extra changes of clothing, and you can probably use a regular deodorant instead of a prescription antiperspirant. Treatment last up to 6 months ttreatment is not a cure; your symptoms will return gradually, and you will know when the time is right for another treatment. Your sweat doesnt go anywhere else or get backed up, the sweat simply is not produced in the areas treated with Botox.

SCLEROTHERAPY
DESCRIPTION Contributing factors include: Heredity, Pregnancy, Hormonal changes, Being overweight, Standing or sitting for prolonged of time, Advancing age, Trauma, & Sun-exposure for veins on the face. Sclerotherapy is a simple procedure, the surface veins are injected with a solution, causing them to collapse and fade over time. The body easily absorbs the collapsed veins, causing no distress to the other veins. After treatment we recommend that compression stockings be worn for three to five days and for a week after treatment of larger varicose veins. Abstain from high impact activities such as running or step aerobics for three weeks. Walk at a moderate pace, as it will aid in the healing process. As with any procedure, some mild side-effects might occur. These side effects include slight redness to the skin tone or mild swelling in the treated area. Occasionally, a treated vein will reopen, requiring another treatment BENEFITS & FACTS Eliminating these damaged veins from your legs can result enhancing your appearance and boosting self-confidence. A minimum of 3 treatments is at 2 weeks intervals.

DERMASTAMP
DESCRIPTION Dermastamp uses very fine needles to penetrate the skin safely and cleanly. In short, this triggers a healing response in the skin, inducing collagen and elastin production, and resurfacing uneven texture. This is unlike any heat or laser based resurfacing treatment as there is no skin burning, heat or skin coagulation, this means we can use it on any skin type safely and the down time is dramatically reduced. The skin is cleaned and sterilized. Generally the skin will need to be numbed to ensure your comfort. The tip will glide over your skin creating stimulating channels and an even flushing is the best indication for a perfect medical treatment. The treatment usually takes around 1.5 hours in total. IPL (Intense Pulse Light) IPL is a non-ablative, meaning that is does not damage the surface of the skin. It works by emitting a varied wavelength of Intense Pulsed Light into the skin. Light will target colour pigments such as melanin in brown spots and freckles, and haemoglobin in broken or diffused blood vessels. Light also targets bacteria, and induces collagen and elastin production.Once this light is absorbed into pigments it will break down the brown pigmented cells, seal off any small dilated blood vessels or back ground flushing, stimulate the production collagen and elastin, and kill acne causing bacteria Caution is required when treating people with dark skins, Asian skins and some other skins which tan very easily as IPL is absorbed into these darker skin types. Not just the unwanted pigment lesions. A thorough consultation of and a patch test is always conducted, this allows you and our therapists to see and feel the skin response and be comfortable with the procedure to follow. It is imperative with ALL lasers that patients avoid ANY sun exposure, tanning beds, and fake tanning products for at least 4 weeks prior to treatment. A cool gel is spread over the treatment area, the headpiece is then applied to the skin and pulses of light a released, you may feel a slight sting, similar to the flick of a rubber band against your skin. It is certainly not unbearable, and we can always reduce the intensity if you feel the need. Immediately after some treatments you may feel a mild heat for a couple of hours, but after most treatments you will feel next to nothing at all. You will experience a darkening of any pigment for a period of 5-7 days, (2-3 weeks on body areas) It will look like a darker flaking of the skin. This can easily be covered with makeup until your skin naturally exfoliates it off. It is important not to scratch, pick, or ablate these areas of lifting pigment. Once the light is absorbed into any vascular lesions and they are broken down, the body recognizes them as waste and removes them out through your lymphatic system naturally. BENEFITS & FACTS

Ultra Brightening serum should be included in your skin care regime to help prevent future pigment and blend /fade any lighter pigment untreatable by IPL. Ageing Our skin gradually loses its firm, youthful look. Aging, cumulative sun exposure, hormones or weight fluctuation are all factors which affect the strength and elasticity of the collagen fibres in our skin. Tiny amounts of filler are injected into the upper most layers of the skin to smooth and fill skin contours. We use a local anaesthetic cream prior to your treatment to numb any stinging sensations. However many of our products contain local anaesthetic. Making treatment very comfortable. Side Effects Temporary redness, swelling or bruising may occur, this lasts up to 2 weeks. Temporary lumpiness may occur. Lines may still be visible after treatment, in order to prevent over treating we start minimal and build for a natural result.
