Research & Publications Prof. Talwar has significantly contributed to medical research. For the first time in the world literature he described occurrence of inflammatory myocarditis in Takayasu arteritis using endomyocardial biopsy. This work has been published in all the prestigious international journals and is widely quoted in literature. In addition, he has extensively studied the utility of EMB in other tropical heart diseases viz. rheumatic heart disease & restrictive cardiomyopathies. He has published extensively indicating his research contributions.
