ST. MARY CATHOLIC SCHOOL!ROCKET REVIEW / MARCH 12, 2014 / VOLUME 1, NO.

23

On Christmas each family attending The Holy Sacrice of the Mass was given The Four Signs of a Dynamic Catholic by Matthew Kelly. Inside the book was a sticker for our parish school. The sticker was from a parish donation to help advertise our school. If you support Catholic Education, we would greatly appreciate your attaching the sticker to your automobile or home window.

Please do not send your child to school with a lunch, and if you have already paid for hot lunch, please use a credit towards an upcoming hot lunch.

We cant forget to thank our Box Top coordinator Mary Malaniak. We certainly appreciate the endless hours you and your children spend on clipping, organizing and submitting information on behalf of St. Mary School. We will need parent volunteers to count money every morning, immediately following prayer, beginning around 8:40 am. If you are able to help, please email Cindy Majlinger, PTO Treasurer, at ctmx67@yahoo.com. Remember, all volunteer time will go towards your required service hours for this school year. We are nearing our goal, but still have some work to do. If we are successful in paying off our $4,000 loan, and if there are excess funds, we would like to purchase a bench and trash container for the playground area. The victorious class will be mentioned during the Friday, March 21st afternoon announcements. As always, on behalf of your St. Mary PTO we thank your children & the staff for participating in our program. you,

Can we meet our school-wide goal of reading 40,000 pages? YES WE CAN!
Beginning March 3 March 28, our entire school will participate in March Reading Month. Our goal will be 40,000 pages. During the month, classes will be asked to submit a short persuasive essay, to Mrs. Stager, explaining what she should do if the school meets our goal of 40,000 pages. Mrs. Stager will review all essays submitted, and the class and/or individual who submits the most convincing essay will win. Of course, the subject must remain practical. Mrs. Stager will not jump out of an airplane! Your homeroom teacher will instruct you on when you should begin your short essay, however, all are due by Friday, March 28.

Are you up for the challenge, Mrs. Stager?
