Listening Posts Pastor David hopes to have conversations with any St John's members who would like some time to share whatever you may choose. These conversations are called Listening Posts, and allow for people to share their feelings in the confidential setting of the pastors office. Other than a few questions that Pastor David will ask everyone who comes to visit, this time is one where your hopes, concerns, dreams and insights might be shared with him in a free fashion. These times slots are for thirty minutes each, and are suggested for one person or family group at a time. These conversations will help Pastor David to learn about St Johns in a less than formal manner: hopefully these conversations will be a help to members who desire to speak with Pastor David through a confidential time of conversation. Pastor will have a sheet with times at the office. Please contact the office to make a Listening Post appointment!
Beginning April 14 through May 9, St. Johns will be delivering Meals on Wheels. Many volunteers are needed to pick up meals at the Senior Center at 10:45 am and deliver them within the community. It takes about 60-90 minutes to deliver the meals, depending on the route. Route maps are available in advance so you are able to acquaint yourself with the area. Please consider delivering for a 5-day week. Everyone is encouraged to help with this ministry. You can sign up on the Registration Slip today or contact Carol Sorsen at 402-371-7482 for more information.
Life of Christ Bible Study continues this Sunday through Lent at 9:45 AM in the church library.
Buses have been reserved for a trip to Camp Carol Joy Holling on Sunday, April 27. For the spring celebration day, $5 per person ($20 cap per family) includes: transportation to Ashland, meal, snack and activities. (Benefaction Fund monies will offset the remainder of the cost for each person). Buses leave from St. Johns parking lot at 10 AM and return by 6 PM. All members of St. Johns -- young and old - are encouraged to come and enjoy the fellowship of the day. To reserve your place on the bus, you can include the $5/person fee in your offering envelope and mark it camp trip. IMPORTANT: It is important for people to sign up for the day as soon as possible EARLY! Buses will be released if not needed.
