(7) Notice from the Ministerial Department

To All Pastors, Elders, Family Life Leaders and Church Clerks Dear Friends, Christian Greetings! Kindly be advised that the couples convention that is scheduled to take place April 12, 2014 will not be carried through at the Conference level. This is due to various factors; the main one being the Metro Mission 2014 (MM14) activities across the Conference. We truly regret this announcement at such a critical time, especially when a number of couples are having spousal challenges. However, we are inviting the churches (as many as possible) to recognize the couples on this day during the divine hour service. You may also want to invite the couples for recommitment and offer a special prayer on their behalf. May God continue to bless you all. Yours truly, Glenville Carr, Pastor Prayer Coordinator -4-

1. Explaining The Difference between ejcsda.com and metromission14.com websites

Just So you Know. We have been reliably informed that persons are not aware that the Conference currently maintains two different websites one being ejcsda.com and the other being metromission14.com. ejcsda.com is our regular website which carries news, photos, promotions etc about general Conference events. Information relating to the departments of our church, Sabbath School material, finding our churches and pastors and linkages with other Conferences and institutions, are all easily found at this website. If one goes to any search engine on the web such as Google and type in "ejcsda.com" you would find yourself right there. The website can also be easily reached by clicking here. The other website which we started to maintain from late last year is metromission14.com. This website speaks only to the metromission14 (MM14) events and will therefore carry information about the MM14 events, the speakers, news as well as photos relating to MM14. If you go to the google search engine and type "metromission14.com", it will take you right there. That website can also be reached by clicking here. The idea behind having a separate website was to provide one location where all information relating to metromission14 could be found. Since ejcsda.com is the parent website and have significantly more visitors to the site, we created a link on the front page of that site so that persons who visit the Conference website could easily migrate to the metromission14 site. That link is found on the sixth banner of the ejcsda.com webpage. If you go to the ejcsda.com website and wait for the web banners to move to the sixth one, if you click on the banner where it says "click here", you will automatically find yourself on the metromission14 website. If you go there (metromission14.com) and click on the "photos" tab at the top left hand corner, you will probably see images of past MM14 events that you have never seen before. Sorry for the long explanation, but I think it is well worth it. If you took the time to read this and found that it helped, feel free to share this information with others.

2. Communication Workshop for 2014 (Zone 1-3). A must for communication personnels ! A
Communication Workshop for will be held this Sunday for Zones 1 - 3 at the East Jamaica Conference Board Room. The workshop will begin at 9:00 am and will cover the areas of Church Website Administration, News Writing and Sound Equipment. We use this opportunity to invite all members of the Communication Team (Audio Visual & Sound Technicians) of every church to be in attendance.

3. Elders' Certification Training on April 13, 2014 at the EJC Board Room. 4. Latest News. The Communication Department have stepped up the pace of news writing in recent
times. The result of this is that more news items are being posted than ever before. We invite you to -6-

visit this section of website for the latest news. Four news items were written in the past, click here to see if you knew about any of these events before reading it on the Latest News. Click Here.
