Who can forget the tragedy of earthquake witnessed by Jammu & Kashmir and Gujarat in the recent past? India has witnessed its massive toll in the form of human beings as well as buildings being razed to ground. Actually, it is not the earthquake, which kills people but the unsafe constructions make people suffer. Earthquake is the biggest and most painful tragedy that continues to wreck havoc across the world. Keeping this in mind Omaxe Foundation, the humanitarian face of well-known real estate giant OMAXE has taken the initiative and brought together all stakeholders i.e. government, architects, engineers, etc to discuss techniques to construct safer buildings and to clear myths about the cost of safe structures.

In its effort to make safer habitats, Omaxe foundation took an initiative and organized workshops to train the groups personnel. The first workshop was held for Civil Engineers, Project Managers, and Architects conducted by UNDP (India) Resource Persons. Over150 experts from a cross section of Professional Bodies and Institutions attended the workshop to discuss the factors, which should be taken care of while building any structure. Speaking on the occasion the Chairman of Omaxe Foundation Rohtas Goel said, In an era of vertical growth of building the risk factor has increased and it is the duty of the construction companies to ensure the safety of the occupants by building Earthquake Resistant buildings. He further emphasized on the role of corporate in ensuring the safer living for the people. An eminent specialist Mr P K Das conducted the second training programme for the Maisons and other supplementary staff.
