For the record: The SW Florida Chess Club was founded in July of 2009. We are a casual Club operating without a profit. Any oney we collect is wor!ing capital. "ur ission is to pro ote chess as co unity i pro#e ent in the SW Florida area and to pro#ide a friendly yet co petiti#e at osphere where players of all s!ill le#els are welco e. "ur goal is to pro#ide an opportunity for co unity$ friendly co petition and learning. "ur Club%s website helps us achie#e this goal. &e bers can stay connected with the latest Club news$ play o#er other e ber ga es$ and find upco ing e#ents$ either within the Club or around the state. Since our start in 2009$ we ha#e et at different locations. Today starts a new chapter at our new location$ the 'stero (ecreation Center. Club e bers ust sign in using the (ecreation Center%s attendance sheet$ located on the counter.

This infor ation is needed for our onthly Club )ewsletter$ deli#ered to your inbo*$ with the latest Club news and infor ation on any upco ing acti#ities. The Club is open to ages +, and older. Any e ber with a standard 7SCF rating 2000 and abo#e will be granted a free e bership for as long as they aintain that rating. '*isting Club e bers who 3oined prior to 20+6 will be able to renew their 20+6 e bership at /0.00. Chess set rentals a#ailableWith our new location there is a greater potential for wal!8ins$ therefore$ the Club chess sets and cloc!s will be a#ailable for use at a cost of /2.00 per wee!ly eeting. &e bers are encouraged to bring their own chess sets and cloc!s.
