EVIDENCE OF GOD!

Spring is the time of year when everything comes to life. It

causes a person to feel the presence of God, because of the

change in nature. But, thanks to God, He is present at all times waiting for us to recognize Him.

A CHANGE OF STAFF!

In the first week of May, many students of the university formed protest-groups because of the high prices on the regis tration fees and ail the other methods used by the university to rob the students. This caused another political party to take in
terest.

The university is politically controlled. So, two political par ties were formed and engaged in fighting to gain control. The political parties not only fought with words, but some buildings and some other things were destroyed. In the process of all this, one of the protesting students lost his life.

ALL OF US GET OLDER!

Thanks to God, I was able to visit my mother during the month of June. God willing, each of us will live to be the same age. If so, we pray that we have the health, strength and ability to live by ourselves. If not, we pray that we have enough humil ity to accept the difference. i was asked to leave Mexico and live with my mother, but God is first, i love my mother, but Matthew 10:37 is very plain.
'He that ioveth father or mother more than me is not

worthy of me; and he that ioveth son or daughter

more than me is not worthy of me." Matt. 10:37

Please pray for my mother to face reality!

OPEN THE DOOR!

The price of making and installing the inside doors was paid two months ago, but they're just now being installed. The total price for seven doors was 92,050.00 pesos. Each door cost 13,150.00 pesos or $20.74.

A NEW CONGREGATION!

When the boys and I moved to Soiedad, a small congrega tion was functioning. I talked to the preacher only to learn that it claimed to be a Baptist Church. But thanks to God, they have
decided to become a CHURCH OF CHRIST. Praise God!

This helps us to realize the power of God when we seek His guidance.

A NEW FRIEND!

During my absence from the house, a kitten entered the house. The boys tried every trick in the book to catch it, but it

ran whenever it saw a person. Through my feeding and talking to him, he now takes food from my hand. We did have a problem with the mice, but there are no mice
with him around.

Now, he crawls up under my desk into a drawer and takes his nap.

CONVENTION OR CAMP?

While in the state of Kansas, I had to make the decision to attend the National Missionary Convention or return to be a small help In camp. I thought it was more effective to return and

help out in forming young Christians. This year eleven young souls accepted Christ on the last day of camp. A person feels better when they know they helped out in a small way in bringing others to Christ.

GOOD INTENTIONS DON'T COUNT!

On my return trip from Kansas, I planned to visit the con

gregation of Canadian, Texas. But, i have misplaced the tele phone number they'd given me to call when I'm as close as I can
get by bus Enid, Oklahoma.

Anyway, I'd like to say, that I'm sorry and I hope to visit the
next time I'm stateside.

HELLO! HELLO!

There are times when It Is time saving and economical to have a telephone. God willing, we will soon have a telephone in stalled. Then, I won't need to go across town to make a long-dis tance phone call and people will be able to call the house. Also, the boys won't be asking for money to make a phone cail.

APPRECIATION??

it causes one to be more wiiling to offer heip to others when they show some appreciation. On the 25th of September, we ac cepted a new boy. He is Marceiino Teran Alvarado, 25 years oid, from Acapuico and he's studying to be a pubiic accountant. At first, it was thought that he could help keep books for the house but, that would cause the others to feel misplaced. He attends class 7:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. and he's looking for a job in the afternoon. Whenever he is asked to do some thing, he does it with gladness without excuses.
But, he doesn't feel at home in the Church of Christ. He hasn't been with us very iong so, we can pray for him to feel dif ferently.

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
ii Cor. 4:16

UNPREDICTABLE!

The economics of every country are unpredictable. Here In Mexico, the people are suffering from a depression and the news
reported that many people are being laid off from various fac tories In the United States. But, God has told us that He will
supply all our needs. Put your trust In God.
Psalm 4:5

BELIEVE IT OR NOT!

When I was 19 years of age, my throat started to clog up, as though I were catching a cold. It.never became sore, but my voice was muffled because I couldn't clear my throat. Thanks to God, after 27 years my throat Is starting to clear up. I'm able to speak clearer; therefore, my mispronunciation of some syllables Is more notlcable. The boys have been practicing my pronunciation with me. God willing, I'll soon speak like a
natural Mexican.

LOOK TO GODI

In August, some of the boys and I attended evening service

In San Luis Potosl. It was late when It was over and It was too

late to return by bus. So, we took a taxi. In route, I had a sei zure. When we arrived home, the boys had to get me out of the car and guide me Inside. In the process, my glasses fell off. As a result, new glasses have been purchased Thanks to God!

ONCE IN A LIFETIME

For the first time In the existence of the home, two boys will graduate from the university as agriculture engineers. They will have their graduation services In December but, they'll have pic tures taken beforehand. For a lifetime memory, you'd think a suit would be best. But, they cost about 110,000 pesos or $139.00 each. Many students here In Mexico aren't able to pur chase a suit. But, God willing, the home will be able to give
them a memory to remember.

CORRESPONDENT'S CORNER

After much thought and prayer, I have decided it is time for

me to retire from being Tom's forwarding secretary, effective January 1, 1987. My association with Tom has been good, and we have reaiiy grown to iove him and his work. I pray the Lord wili lead a willing worker to help Tom continue with his ministry, as we have not yet found someone to take over the position. If someone is interested in serving they should immediately con tact me at the home address. Please pray about this important
need.
