0n the meeting reminder e%mail, 0 as1ed if attendees /ould write down their biggest wish for 2(,4! .e had some
that were willing to share:
A new 2epresentati"e that began her business the day before the meeting shared that she would lo"e to "isit her
brother in .ashington State in September! #rea1ing it down, she felt that around 34,((( would be a good amount
to sa"e for the trip! .e showed her that engaging in sales A45 6eadership, with the Jumpstart 7rogram 8right
away8/ould earn her the money needed for her trip! She will wor1 with her upline to de"elop her plan and will
be a"ailable to assist at Team table e"ents as her s/hedule allows!
An established 2epresentati"e shared that her goal was a little farther out8her main goal is that her husband be
able to retire by the end of 2(,6! So we bro1e that down too! She said that for him to retire, her A"on business
would need to be bringing in 39(,((( per year! That brea1s down to 3&*&!(( per month or 32+,6!(( per
/ampaign! .e ha"e two a"enues to earn money through A"on 7ersonal Sales ),((: of your own effort- and
6eadership )A per/entage from A"on based on the sales of the people you bring into the business and mentor!- 0f
she wanted to a/hie"e the earnings through her personal sales only, it would ta1e rea/hing the highest le"el of
sales 7resident;s 0nner $ir/le, whi/h is 32*(,((( per year8after subtra/ting /ost%of%goods and other e<penses
related to that sales "olume, you /ould assume 39(,((( in earnings! =owe"er, if she /ontinued to sell at her
/urrent sales le"el, =onor So/iety )32(,2(( per year, whi/h we /an assume nets her around 36,((( per year-, her
/ustomers and sales routine are already in pla/e, lea"ing her time to fo/us her plan of >massi"e a/tion? on Team
building! 0n order to earn that amount of money through 6eadership she would need "ery large Team pla/ing
orders! .e /an safely a"erage the earning she will ma1e at 3& per re/ruit )remember this is an a"erage- so if she
had &*4 Team orders pla/ed ea/h /ampaign, she would earn 32+2( per /ampaign8this is e<a/tly what she need
for her husband to retire@ Also understanding that not e"eryone will pla/e an order e"ery /ampaign8you /an
safely assume 9&: a/ti"ity8she should plan on ha"ing 9&( Team members by the end of 2(,6! That is 2
months from now! She has 2 members /urrently! 9&( 2 A 929! 5i"ide that by 2 A 2 new 2e/ruits per
month, or ,2 new 2e/ruits per /ampaign! 0f you brea1 it down it is a "ery rea/hable goal@ #e/ause her Team is
small right now, there are not "ery many who are also ta1ing big a/tion in their A"on business right now, so the
first step is to personally re/ruit more people so she /an find those who want to a/hie"e big things! Then le"erage
will help her with the rest@ 0f she Bust fo/uses on rea/hing the point of getting ,2 new Team members in her three
generations per /ampaign for the ne<t three years, her goal will be rea/hed8amaCing@ And the beauty of it is that
she will be helping the people on her Team who are willing to fo/us on a goal and wor1 hard toward it, to get
e"erything they want too@
.e dis/ussed a lot of the /hanges that are now in effe/t in A"on last month8you /an /at/h up by reading the
April Team Meeting notes! There are a few things to highlight this month:
The new appointment 1it is now being used and the appointment fee is 3,&! This also brings the new reruit the
opportunity to earn A"on;s Just 4 Dou 0n/enti"e and to order the 3& #usiness booster pa/1 in her first or se/ond
/ampaign! .e brought the new 1it and showed it8it;s really ni/e@

, there will be a new /redit poli/y in pla/e!
As of May 14, 2014, every new Representative who joins Avon through a self-appointment will no longer
receive a line of credit from Avon Representatives who are appointed !y a "eadership Representative or
#istrict $ales Manager and who do not provide a valid $ocial $ecurity %um!er, or do not pass an identity
validation screening, will also not receive a line of credit with Avon
E"eryone who appoints themsel"es online will run their business li1e all the other dire/t sellers )Mary Fay,
S/entsy, Gold $anyon, et/!- they will pay upfront and then re/ei"e the produ/ts8no /redit will be e<tended!
)2epresentati"es that sign up online tend to be internet oriented so they will probably fo/us on their websites
where their /ustomers pay upfront anyway8- Also, if a new re/ruit is appointed in person but fails the identity
/he/1, they will pay upfront for their produ/ts for as long as they remain in business! This is an effort on A"on;s
part to /urb the flow of loss resulting in non%payment of orders! There are no plans in pla/e to remo"e /redit from
established 2epresentati"es, so there is no need to /hange your pra/ti/es if you do ha"e the pri"ilege of /redit
through A"on! The fo/us is helping the new 2epresentati"e that has a different system to wor1 with to be
su//essful!
Hne really great suggestion was shared by 6isa .ilber % >Hne of my newer leaders Bust shared a brilliant idea
she has only been selling a /ouple months and 0 suggested all along that she /olle/t payment with order! So she
made up sti/1ers that she puts right on her bro/hures that read: I7ayment due with Hrder; and said she has not had
to e"en say anything about it be/ause the /ustomer sees it themsel"es!? 0;"e atta/hed a label that 0 made to the
meeting handouts so you /an use it! Dou /ould also /arry them with you to new appointments to gi"e to your new
re/ruits8they would ha"e something right away to help start them out right@

2osemarie Fahn, re/ently regarding the new poli/y:
Technically the only difference for new Reps that sign up online is that their credit card company changed. They can
continue to sell to customers the same way as the rest do that do have credit lines. The only two differences are:
1. Instead of Avon being their so called "credit card company", they will be using either !, "isa, Ame# etc.
$. Instead of paying a wee% or so after they receive their order, they are paying a few days ahead.
&ither way, they owe the same amount of money but Avon is no longer going to eat the costs of the unpaid bill. 'hen
you really thin% about it what(s the difference e#cept for the time. ost li%ely they actually have more time to pay without
getting penali)ed because they can have up to one month to pay a credit card bill.
*ow, that won(t hold true for those that do not have a credit card. +ut honestly, is it Avon(s responsibility to be the one
to provide credit to someone that would not ,ualify for an average credit card- 'hy is it wrong .or even sensible/ for
them to want to ta%e on such a ris%. It is these Representatives that will have to ma%e the e#tra effort to get the
prepayment. The Reps that do have a credit card have that option too but they really don(t have to. Again, they are 0ust
using a different company to lend from .credit card instead of Avon/ with slightly different terms. They owe the same
amount each campaign either way.
As for the mi# of some having credit and some not, I guess if a Rep as%s me the ,uestion I will 0ust have to say
honestly that Avon needed to do this because they were having debt problems with online appointments. I would then
e#plain the same thing as I did above and show them that it(s really not that different. They can use their credit card to
release their order and simply pay the bill when they collect the money. The same way they would if they owed Avon
e#cept they will have a little more time to collect money from their customers. I would recommend that they use a card
specifically for Avon to help them manage better. I will also probably encourage them to use the credit card instead of
running around pic%ing up money before hand. +ut, that they should definitely try to get their customer(s credit card info
so as to lessen the amount to put on their credit card each campaign.
I was thin%ing bac% to the two networ%ing companies I was with beforehand. The first encouraged me to stoc% up
ahead of time so that I always had stoc% on hand. The price to 0oin was 1122 and then they suggested a stoc% up cost of
anywhere between 1322,and if I remember right, close to 14222. At first, I decided to collect money upfront but then
eventually used my earnings to stoc% product. I paid all of my orders upfront. The second company actually re,uired to
have my credit card on file because I had to have an automatic order shipped each month. !ustomers55Recruits were sort
of put in the same category. 'hen I signed a customer they too committed to an autoship using a debit or credit card.
+oth are very well %nown established companies and pretty much everyone involved needed a credit or debit card .I am
not sure if there even were other options to pay/.

well as Title at 2is1 returning to 6 /ampaigns80;m really e</ited that this stru/ture will lead us to great growth
