We will be meeting in the fellowship hall. Thanks also for your prayers for this meeting. May 7, Wed.-Youth Bible Study will meet here at church, 7 p.m. May 9, Fri, & 10, Sat.-Friendship Community's 21 st annual Fest and Auction. Homemade pies, cookies, candy, rolls, breads, cakes or other baked items are needed. Sign up on the sheet in the narthex if you are able to donate anything. Have them here at the church by noon on Friday, May 9. See the flyer on the bulletin board regarding the event. Any questions contact Mary Ellen Musser. May 18, Sun.-Please plan to join in a time of singing at Fairmount Homes at 2-3 p.m. as we encourage Veronica, Esther and others with a message in song. James Martin will serve as song leader, leading us in familiar songs from the C & SS Hymnal in an informal, relaxed atmosphere. As announced last Sunday, anyone able to remain after the fellowship meal today for a practice is encouraged to meet in the sanctuary after the meal. This is the only practice planned, but a finalized list of songs will be available on the narthex table (after todays practice) and everyone is welcome to participate on May 18 th , even if you arent available to practice today. May 21, Wed.-Bowmansville District Sewing Circle will meet at the Bowmansville Mennonite Church in the morning and afternoon. Ladies of all ages are welcome to come to help with comfort knotting, quilting or sewing on a sewing machine. This month we will share in a covered dish meal. Please bring a hot or cold dish to share with the group. Place settings and drink are provided. The project for this month is pencils, which are included in School Kits. Based on feedback from kit recipients, MCC increased the number of pencils included from four to eight. This much needed change has created an urgent need for pencils, as many kits arrive at the warehouse with fewer than eight pencils. Pencils can be brought to the church and Sewing Circle will see they are taken to MCC. Thank you for helping with this need. June 26, Thurs.- Our church will be providing the food and staffing for the Cocalico Community Dinner. You can get involved by volunteering to help serve or by providing food for the meal. A sign-up sheet for volunteers and food items will be posted in the next couple of weeks. We will need about 10 people to help from 5:30-7:30pm on the 26 th please prayerfully consider participating in this event. -Updated Church Photo Directory-We are beginning the process of updating our church photo directory. Please contact Phil Horning or Bethany Horning to arrange a time for a photo to be taken(Sun. after church might be good), or if you have a recent individual or family photo you would like to use, let us know that as well. -JoyEl Generation is seeking a person to fill the Area Coordinator Position for the Released Time Bible Programs in the surrounding school districts.
